Hog Island boas come from a pretty small area which is limited on a group of islands called the "Cayo de los Cochinos" in front of the coast of Honduras. It's supposed that these animals are extinct in the nature and also in captivity are these imperators not too common. Fortunately it's easy to breed them and let's hope that at least, they will stay obtained in captivity.

Hog Islands got a reduced black pigmentation (hypomelanistic) and they are known for changing their skin colour by day several times. One animal out of my stock sometimes turns into blue, another turns into orange temporarily. Also the ground colour of these boas is changing often and so these usually light animals sometimes can be pretty dark for a limited period of time.
